Fuel Preparation Solutions
SERA manufactures and integrates a range of equipment for processing materials
The collected wood chips are produced using various technologies and may become contaminated during harvesting or at any stage of the processing. It is sometimes necessary to perform a second grinding (refining) step when the incoming material is too heterogeneous, with particle sizes that deviate too greatly from the required specifications.
Our equipment
With regard to contaminants that may be present in wood chips, SERA incorporates several types of equipment designed to separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals, stones, PVC, plastics, and more.
The material
Once the material has been prepared, it can be used in various industries or as a substitute fuel for fossil fuels.

Disc Screens
The disc screen is recommended for separating oversized pieces of wood biomass, such as forest chips or end-of-life wood chips. It is particularly recommended for separating oversized pieces.
Typically used in biomass fuel sorting, it is a robust piece of equipment that ensures high uptime. The discs are interchangeable and the speed is variable, allowing for adjustments to the screening particle size.

Applications
- Flow rate from 10 to 800 m³/h
- Biomass P45 to P100
- Accepts all types of biomass
- Sawmill chips
- Class B wood (end-of-life)
- Bark
- Compost Rejection
The Benefits
Highly precise calibration – Minimal wear on parts – Ensures the highest level of screening performance
Oscillating screen
The oscillating screen is recommended for more precise grading, with the ability to sort multiple particle sizes using the same equipment. This technology reduces maintenance and operating costs, with very low wear on parts. It is also the equipment that guarantees the highest level of screening performance.
Applications
With our partner HAAS
- Flow rate from 1 to 250 m³/h
- Flow rate from 0 to 800 m³/h
- Wood Industry Brochures
- Wood B (end-of-life)
- Sawdust
- Bark
- Interchangeable grids
Rotary Screen
The rotary screen is used to screen difficult materials that do not require a high level of screening precision. This type of equipment offers good value for money but also requires more frequent maintenance. A brush system can be integrated to reduce the need for cleaning.
Applications
With our partner HAAS
- Capacity: 100 to 300 m³/h
- Fixed or mobile
- Sawmill chips
- Fine grinding (sawdust)
- Class B wood (end-of-life)
- Miscellaneous Waste, Recycling
- Bark
- Compost
- Demolition Waste
